Well, folks, this is the first time that I have created any Top 10 lists, but I’ve been working on this all year long. If you have listened to my show ‘Musical Yarns from the Counterculture‘ (on Facebook) at all this year, some of these bands might not be a surprise to be on this list.

1776, from Longview, WA, played a show at The Tip in San Francisco. Now, I don’t know much about The Tip, but I aspire to see the ’76ers there, someday. The video was produced by Duncan/Channon. Find out more about The Tip here.
Tyrannosaurus Grace has been playing shows all over Western Washington in past months, winning crowds over with their strong stage presence and a variety of alt-rock/synth/post-punk songs that really rock. T Grace, as they often referred to, is a five piece from Ellensburg, WA, consisting of Timmy (vox, guitar, keys), Justin (lead guitar,keys), Lakyn (vox, guitar, keys), Dave (drums), and Jeff (bass). Tyrannosaurus Grace really packs some punch on E.P.1, their new EP released 8/30/2011, on Fake Label Records. Rocking out four brand new tracks, an alternate mix of one of the gems from the first album, and two demos of songs from this EP, T. Grace really brings it with some great sounds.
The Bad Tenants, from Bellingham, WA, have a great new video out. I love it when musical genius collides with vision in film. The video was produced by Darkheart Visions, also in Bellingham.
